What is Title I? Created in 1965 by President Lyndon B Johnson to provide fair and equal opportunities for children to have a high quality education. Based on the poverty level of the school. Title I programs serve all children in a school regardless of income.

Parents can and should… Get quarterly reports on student progress. Get involved in making decisions about our school and programs. Volunteer at the school to support our programs. On standardized testing last year Butte…. Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) showed an increase in students measured as proficient and a decrease in students who are far below proficient in all areas. Language: We increased from 52% to 60% proficient Mathematics: We increased from 53% to 63% proficient Reading: We increased from 50% to 58% proficient
