What are the two approaches in ethical decision Making? Q2. How Cephu defended himself? Q3. Among Mbuti, as with most hunter-gatherer societies What enhances individual freedom? 5 min Watch Video V2 to answer the questions

Out-of-class Activity Design - 3 Aligning Assessment with Learning Objective Learning Objective Assessment Strategy Expected duration (in min) Additional Instructions (if any) Understand and overcome the complexity of Human Decision Making Q1. What influences human decisions? Q2. What bigger computer or faster computer cannot replace? 5 min Watch Video V1 to answer the questions Submit answers to all questions one day before coming to class. Total activity duration 25 minutes

In-class Segment This section helps you design the in-class segment of Flipped Classroom Strategy.

In-class Activity Design -1 Learning Objective(s) of In - Class Activity At the end of the class, students will be able to: Understand the complexities of decision making in real life Solve real life problems by making ethical decisions Practically experience the consensus decision making Key Concept(s) to be covered Ethical decision making Consensus decision making

In-class Activity Design -2 Active Learning activity(ies) that you plan to do Peer Instruction Strategy Ethical Decision making is better than emotional decision making? YES NO MAY BE

In-class Activity Design -2 Active Learning activity(ies) that you plan to do Peer Instruction Strategy Ways of ethical decision making? Individualistic Communal approach Both a & b

In-class Activity Design -2 Active Learning activity(ies) that you plan to do Peer Instruction Strategy What Student Does For each question they will first vote individually. Then they will discuss with peers and come to consensus. Listen to instructors explanation.

In-class Activity Design -2 Active Learning activity(ies) that you plan to do Peer Instruction Strategy 1. Ethical Decision making is better than emotional decision making

In-class Activity Design -2 Active Learning activity(ies) that you plan to do Think Pair Share Explain the strategy by giving details of What Teacher will do? Think Phase (2-3 minutes) Teacher will pose a real life problem in case of decision making and ask the students to think about the situation. Pair Phase (5minutes) Teacher asks the students to pair up and compare their answers and asks them to agree on one final answer. While students are pairing and discussing, instructor goes to 2 to3 sections to see what they are doing. Share Phase (8-10 minutes) Instructor asks a group to share their answer with class and see whether there are different answers. After sharing is done, instructor gives feedback on the correct solution

In-class Activity Design -2 Active Learning activity(ies) that you plan to do Think Pair Share Explain the strategy by giving details of What Student will do? Think Phase (2-3 minutes) Students will focus on the given problem and think individually Pair Phase (5minutes) Students will pair up and discuss their individual answers to come to the common point Share Phase (8-10 minutes) Students then will collectively discuss their answers with the teacher and obtain the correct answer with proper justification

In-class Activity Design -2 Justify why this is an active learning strategy In this TPS activity, students are required to go beyond mere listening and execution of prescribed steps. They are required to think deeply about the content they were familiarized in out-of-class and do higher order thinking.

In-class Activity Design -2 TPS Strategy : A real life situation..

In-class Activity Design -2 Think Phase for students 2- 3 minutes

In-class Activity Design -2 Pair Phase for students 5 minutes Instruction: Now pair up and compare your decisions. Agree on one final decision.

In-class Activity Design -2 Share Phase for students 8 minutes Instruction: Now all the different pairs share your answers with class and observe the different answers. Obtain feedback from the teacher about the proper ethical decision
