Monday: 09/11/17 Collect: Theme Tracker Packet, Scarlet Letter Rhetorical Precis Learning Target: I can demonstrate my ability to analyze how themes and language interact in a written work. (R2, R4, W9) Instruction Warm Up: Pick Up Vocabulary Words, Take Out Theme Packet Direct: Write 7 point thesis about how rhetoric (literary devices and deliberate language) work together to support the central idea. Assessment: Write the rest of the essay in class.
