Sign in and pick up handouts, quietly begin warm up. Warm Up: Create Quizlet for Vocabulary Workshop Unit 2, Level F – Do Vocabulary in Context. Direct Sub today – please work independently on your best behavior. Independent Work Read and turn chapter 2 of Everything’s and Argument into Cornell Notes. . Learning Target: I can produce clear and coherent writing appropriate to task purpose and audience, while turning chap 2 into Cornell Notes Closing Task: : Metacognitive Reflection In the “How section” of your directions: Choose a question Write the question in the margin Answer the question in the reflection section of your learning log. Homework: Ongoing Reading: Scarlet Letter Part 3: Due 8/31 Bring quotes to class Ongoing: Vocabulary Test Next Friday 9/8

Collect: TP/CASTT, College Rubric, Peer Review Warm Up/ Independent Work: Scarlet Letter sample test read over the test specifically looking for which questions are Analysis and which questions are Recall. Collaborative Work: Read both Thoreau and Poe. Go through the questions together as a team, determine the correct answer and WHY the answer is correct as well as WHY the other answers are wrong. Learning:I can read and analyze multiple choice questions. Closing Task: Metacognitive Reflection Choose a question Write the question in the margin Answer the question in the reflection section of your learning log.
