Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1944, at the age of 15, King entered Morehouse College in Atlanta. He graduated.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. A legacy that shall not be forgotten

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was one of the main leaders of the American civil rights movement.

King helped lead the Montgomery Bus Boycott in hope to make it so that African Americans can have the same bus rights as the whites and not have to give up their seats for someone else.

The boycott lasted for 381 days The boycott lasted for 381 days. The situation became so tense that the King's house was bombed. Later he was arrested for the boycott and the case made it to the U.S Supreme Court. Finally the court outlawed racial segregation on public transportation.

In 1957, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference helped to harness the moral authority and organizing power of black churches to conduct non-violent protests in the service of civil rights reform in which King organized.

In 1963 King and many of his followers marched to D In 1963 King and many of his followers marched to D.C where he delivered his most famous speech which was called “I Have a Dream.”

In 1964 King became the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.

King was later murdered on April 4,1968 in Memphis, Tennessee at the Lorraine Motel by a gunshot wound to the head.

Still today he is remembered.
