Curriculum Year B Autumn Literacy Cross Curricular: Report about life as a Viking Science - The circulatory system Identify & name the main parts of the human circulatory system Describe the ways in which nutrients and water are transported around the body Recognise the impact of diet, exercise, drugs and lifestyle on the way their bodies function History – The Viking and Anglo Saxon struggle for the Kingdom of England To use a range of sources to gather information to describe a key event from the past To analyse the factors which led to the Vikings leaving their homeland to settle in Britain To look and consider different versions of historical events Maths Cross Curricular: Viking themed problem solving, measuring Computing: To make an original computer game in scratch To use online search engines safely, considering copyright laws To make a presentation to pitch a tablet app Geography - Vikings Recognise key symbols on OS maps Use maps, globes & digital computer mapping to locate countries in Europe Look at the changing named areas of UK from Viking times to now, focusing on counties Look at land use patterns and understand how these have changed over time Vikings Invaders or settlers?
