Theme: Anglo-Saxons and The Vikings
In English, we’ll be finding out:
-Information Text – How to use fronted adverbials. The features of an explanation text. How to organise writing into paragraphs.
- Narrative – how to deduce and interpret information about characters. How the author uses language for particular effect. How to summarise evidence from a text.
-Instructions – how to follow instructions and understand their purpose. The features of an instruction text.
In Maths, we’ll be finding out:
Number and Place Value – about place value and the difference between digit and value
Addition and subtraction – How to add and subtract using formal methods.
Statistics – how to interpret and present discrete and continuous data using appropriate graphical methods, including bar charts

In Science, we’ll be finding out:
- What’s that Sound?
- How sounds are made and know how we hear with our ears.
- Patterns between the pitch of a sound and the features of the source.
