How To Log Your Service Hours Created by Katella’s Counseling Staff
Important notes before starting Only the class of 2020 and beyond is required to record and document their service hours for graduation 40 service hours are required before graduation 10 service hours are recommended each year, however you can complete all hours in one year if you choose. All events posted on your portal are eligible for service hours You may use an event that you personally participate in, but it requires that you get it approved prior. (the next slides will show you how)
Joining an event on the portal Access your account Schools4:Good
Sign into account AUHSD email Your set password
Select the event Select the Event After reading about the event and deciding its what you plan to join click “JOIN EVENT”
After participating in the event return to your EVENT PORTFOLIO Complete the comment section for the event. You must write at least 100 words in the comment section. If you do not complete the comment section, you will not receive the service hours.
Adding your own event Select: Event Portfolio Download Community Service Verification Form **Note: This form must be completed prior to completing the hours
This form must be completed and submitted to the Counseling Office secretary – Ms. Delgadillo Although the form states a three week notice, Katella only requires 1 week.

Complete this form and click “send request” You will be notified by your counselor once this has been officially approved
Summary of your hours Keeping track of your hours is easy! Once you complete any submitted event, you can reference back to this summer page and review your hours. Remember you must earn a total of 40 hours BEFORE you graduate. You can earn ALL 40 in one year if you want. Always check with your counselor if you have questions about the process. There is also a HELP link that has video tutorials to assist you in other fun features with the program.
