Report Cards

Standards Based Report Cards * Percentage grades will now be given for each subject area. Students will also be evaluated using: 3 (Proficient) = Student is meeting grade level expectations; 2 (Basic) = Student is progressing toward the standard with teacher direction and assistance; and 1 (Below Basic) = Student is beginning to develop the standard, but not yet producing required grade level work. *Grades are based on students mastering end of the year expectations. *Not all standards are assessed each trimester. *The goal is for each student to attain a score of 3 by the end of the year. *Behaviors will be evaluated using: O = Student is consistently producing quality work beyond grade level expectations; S = Student is meeting grade level expectations; and N = Student needs some improvement to meet grade level expectations.

Assessments *Students will be assessed formally and informally throughout the year. Students will receive the following assessments throughout the year. Study Island District Benchmark Tests (Math and Reading)- Fall, Winter, and Spring PSSA’s (Math and Reading)- Spring DRA assessments (September, February, and May) Curriculum Tests- at the end of each Unit Informal Assessments: SeeSaw- An online digital journal https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzlrtDR84KY
