Agenda Dashboard Online Planning Guide Browse Feature Curriculum Map Design Program Structure Core Instruction NYS Released Test Questions & Resources Personal Math Trainer Lesson-Level Resources Smart Notebook File & Resources Additional Changes Teacher Edition An overview of new resources to be discussed.

Dashboard After logging in, you will be at your Dashboard. This is where your Resources tab is located Your homepage for Go Math. Everything will link back to here. If you click on resources, it will bring you to all your resources, as you used to go to.

Resources This is where all are your resources are located. Think of it as the “mall.” You can browse resources but not stop and use them all. To find a specific resources, use your Control+F feature to search. This page is familiar from the 2012 edition.

Browse Feature On the Dashboard – Click Browse and select your grade level Through a series of drop down menus, you will be able to locate chapter, lesson, and standard specific resources Only accessible through the dashboard. This is where you select the grade level program you will use. You will be able to access all resources by chapter and lesson in one convenient location.

Program Structure Click on left pane – Program Structure Select the Unit, Chapter, and Lesson you’re searching Click either Core Instruction or Lesson-Level Resources Here you have the ability to locate resources based on unit, chapter, or lesson. You even have the opportunity to locate resources by Common Core standards.

Core Instruction Teacher Edition Student Edition Personal Math Trainer Practice and HW books are now combined into one book, organized by chapter Personal Math Trainer This is where you can access the resources shown on this slide. It is important to note that this is the ONLY place you can locate the PDF to print the Homework pages. They are not located in your resources mall.

Personal Math Trainer (formerly Soar to Success) Can be used with ALL students as extra practice Students can: “View an Example,” select “Step by Step,” or click on “Textbook” (printable PDF file of the Lesson and Homework pages) This is the only link that you can print the HW pages from! Using the Interactive Student Edition (ISE), open the lesson you want. Once the page loads, click the orange circle at the bottom of the page, which will open the PMT. Click the whistle to start the PMT. Click on the textbook tab, which opens up the PDF student textbook and homework pages for that specific lesson.

Lesson-Level Resources Interactive Student Edition (ISE) - can be used for reteach Chapter Resource Book (Assessments, Reteach, and Enrich pages) RtI activities Digital Path: Math on the Spot Videos, iTools, Mega Math, Animated Math Models, etc. Personal Math Trainer (Assessment) – fewer problems “Share and Show” Lesson Transparencies (Problem of the Day) This link brings together all the resources you need for each specific lesson instead of having to click and open many different links.

Additional Changes Textbook and Student Practice Book are combined into one Lesson sequence remains the same Changes only occur in the “On Your Own” section (fewer problems) These are the only parts of your lessons that will need to be redesigned Lessons are structured following the 5 E’s Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate

Additional Changes (continued) Chapter Assessment formats have changed. Prior test versions (Form A & B) may be used for practice, AM tutorials, small groups, and homework “HOT” problems are now called “Think Smarter” and “Go Deeper” Technology – QR Codes are linked to “Math on the Spot” videos throughout lessons

Teacher Edition RtI activities have been moved to a separate icon under Resources Strategies for English Language Learners (New) Learning and Language Objectives (New) Vocabulary Cards/Vocabulary Game/Writing Journal prior to each Chapter (New) Pacing in the TE is DIFFERENT than the map – use the pacing provided in the map.

Online Planning Guide Shows the clusters of standards using a color coded system Green Square – Major Clusters (70%) Blue Square – Supporting Clusters (20%) Yellow Circle – Additional Clusters (10%) The color coded system used in each lesson to identify standard clusters is NOT the same as the unit bands that Go Math uses. Can be used to plan out your entire year.

Curriculum Map Design The Curriculum Mapping Team looked at the 2016 Released Test Questions and Gap Reports to see what areas were in need of additional support We identified problems that had a negative 5% difference between the region and the district.

NYS Released Test Questions & Additional Resources Links are provided in the mapping that will take you directly to the released test questions, as well as numerous additional support resources. These resources will be located on the share drive in a Smart Notebook file. This is an example from the Grade 3 Curriculum Map that shows the released test questions numbers for Chapter 1 with additional supporting resources that can be used in class based on information from the GAP report.

SMART Notebook File and Resources The Smart Notebook file contains slides by chapter, as well as additional resource links These will be located on the Share Drive. https://www.ixl.com/math/grade-3/rounding-nearest-ten-or-hundred-only
