1 Introduction to FOSSmap
FOSS online assessment system

2 Goals As a result of the workshop, participants will have an increased understanding of: Navigating through FOSSmap. Using FOSSmap to formatively assess students in science. Goal 1-The instructional design and content of the 3rd Edition FOSS kit. We want to review the instructional design of FOSS, discuss any questions you have about the content, and address and problems you are having. Goal 2-How the use of science notebooks supports student science and literacy learning. We will also be touching base on the use of science notebooks. In the 3rd Editions FOSS Kits, notebook use is integrated throughout the lesson. So again, I would like to discuss how your use of notebooks is facilitating the instruction and assessment in FOSS. Goal 3-Effectively implementing Professional Learning Communities. Finally, we will wrap up todays session with discussion on your PLC groups.
