1 The online resource to our Go Math! Program
ThinkCentral The online resource to our Go Math! Program

2 Username and Password A letter was made for each child in grades k-6 with their individual usernames and passwords on them. If you haven’t received one at this time, please ask your child’s teacher. Most usernames are the child’s first initial and last name. Most passwords are the child’s initials and their 4-digit lunch code.

3 What can I see on my child’s account?
You will be able to see whatever Go Math! products your child’s teacher has made available. Most teachers have reduced the number of icons you will see so that it is less overwhelming. As the year moves forward, the teachers may add more products as the children become familiar with them. Let’s take a look at what you might see!

4 What you will see when your child logs in
Student Site (generic from Go Math! website) An actual student site Kdavidson2-4 Kd2016 Student and Parent Help for the PMT

5 Some considerations Some of the products work better in the Chrome browser iTools and the Mega Math do not work properly in Safari or Firefox. Watching the videos from the Interactive Student Edition shows you exactly what your child sees in school. Using the Personal Math Trainer (PMT) will allow you to have a personal tutor in your home

6 Go Math! Go or Math Academy
There is an app you can purchase that is K-2 focused for Go Math! if you wish to have more options at home. It is topic-based and aligns with the standards. It costs $14.99 per child per grade level content The company states that especially in the first year of using the program, they feel that Think Central is more than enough for parents and children. However, the app is a more structured setting where the app tells students what they are going to be working on as opposed to having the options of playing the games, watching videos, looking through vocabulary words, etc.

7 Where to go from here Please use the PowerPoint presentation that we just looked at as a guide if you need to refer to it. It is on the district homepage. Use the link to the parent guide or the generic student link to see the different options your child has once in ThinkCentral. Ask your child’s teacher to give you another copy of the username/password sheet if you lost it. You can try doing the standard format that was on slide 1 before asking the teacher. Use the resources on the site to help guide your child in his/her math learning. Encourage your child and give them the confidence that they can be successful. Your support at home will really help your child to believe he/she can do it!

8 Thank you so very much for being here tonight with us and for allowing your children to come play some math games!
