Miscellaneous Topics MEC Session, CM March 2017 at GSI J. Lühning, GSI 3D model of PANDA in maintenance area http://web-docs.gsi.de/~luehning/Panda-3D/Hall-H0417-1701.pdf before moving-in of cryostat during assembly of barrel-EMC before moving-in of central detectors Some integration problems

Maintenance area before moving-in of cryostat View onto the upstream side of the Target spectrometer. A beam (type IPB700, length 12 meters, shown here in green) will be used for installing both the cryostat and the barrel-EMC. The beam will rest on tripods, fine alignment can be done by adjusting the heights of the tripod feet.

Maintenance area during assembly of barrel-EMC The IPB700 beam can be rotated about the longitudinal axis. This feature is necessary for installing the barrel-EMC slices. A gangway around the EMC is needed. Discussion with V. Ferapontov from Protvino is going on.

Maintenance area before moving-in of central detectors After removing the big installation beam the auxiliary platform will be attached to the TS. The DIRC&SciTil-barrel will be installed together with the support structure for the STT. MVD, STT, and Bw-EMC will be assembled on the wide platform shown on the left-hand side. They will be rolled into the magnet on precision rails.

Some integration problems Collision checks on CAD models In CATIA, the collision check can be done in the Assembly Design environment by clicking on this button: Can all CAD programs in use perform this check? If not, please ask for help. Before posting of component models, please perform a collision check and, if the coordinate system used is not the PANDA-IP system, please indicate at least the supposed IP position.

Some integration problems Routing of cables and tubes from barrel-EMC Collision with barrel-DIRC FEE (transparent here) might be possible. Tentative routing would be helpful now. Is help needed? Collision between barrel-DIRC FEE and STT- cable support Solved? Is help needed? Installation of beam tube procedure? steady support? temporary support during moving-in of Bw-EMC?

Some integration problems Routing of tubes for MVD cooling. Space has to be allocated. Is help needed? water tubes compensation solenoid

Some integration problems Downstream side of TS in maintenance position, tripod supports big mounting beam What is needed for rolling-in the Fw-EMC? A transport frame for lowering the Fw-EMC onto rails is already posted on EDMS.

Some integration problems Dipole Muon Filter FEE Muon FEE DS door Location of racks for Muon Detectors? If rack position is fixed cables and hoses have to be arranged in a festoon which allows the Muon Filter to move by 2.5 meters. View onto the downstream side of the Target Spectrometer (from north-west position)

Integration problems There are many other problems which wait for a solution ... Thank you for listening
