The main frame consists of a chassis realized with steel standard profiles: IPE 240 (IPE UNI ) for the upper and lower horizontal supports; HE 120 (HE UNI ) for the legs. Ferrara The straw tube wall is divided in two parts around the beam line. Each half is, in its turn, divided in two parts (drawers). Ferrara CONCLUSIONS THE PROPOSED STRUCTURE HAS THE FOLLOWING ADVANTAGES: IT IS INDEPENDENT FROM OTHER PARTS OF THE EXPERIMENT (DIPOLE MAGNET, RICH, EMC); THE DRAWER METHOD MAKES IT EASIER TO MOUNT AND TO DISMOUNT STRAW TUBE MODULES; FOR MAINTENANCE ON THE STRAW TUBE MODULES IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO REMOVE THE BEAM PIPE.
