Our Goals Increase our confidence to SPEAK Spanish Better understand CULTURES from around the Latin world
Our Units of Study Extending on units on “Yourself and Your Family” (“Todo acerca de mi”) and School (¿Te gusta la escuela?) Extending on units on: “¿Adónde vas?” covering destinations and “pass-times” Review Common Vocabulary: Personal attributes, family, people, our body, emotions, clothing, places Working common verbs: “Tener”, “Ser” , “Ir” and conjugation of regular AR verbs Spanish / World Geography - ¿Dónde se habla español?
Our Class Procedures QUIETLY enter class and take your seat Hand-in Homework at beginning of class Complete “Warm-Up” on ActivBoard or Handout Open your notebooks and review prior lesson Please be a good friend and be willing to help classmates/others at your table Be ready to write notes and in your binder. Check for HW & write down in your agenda
Our Class Policies HOMEWORK: Homework is usually given 2 times per week. You are NOT allowed to use web-based translation sites (e.g., Google Translate) to do your work - assignments may be graded as a zero if they are used. HANDING-IN WORK: All assignments will be handed-in in class when you arrive to class the day it is due.
Our Class Policies LATE WORK: Homework is accepted up to 2 days late for ½ credit. After 2 days, it is graded as a zero, unless different arrangements are made with Sra. TESTS/QUIZZES: All tests and quizzes, regardless of grade require a parent signature the day after they are handed back. All tests/quizzes with a grade of 90 or below, need to be corrected using the blue “corrections” form.
