Forming the POSSESSIVE of a PLURAL Noun THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO MAKE A PLURAL NOUN POSSESSIVE.

Forming the POSSESSIVE of a PLURAL Noun Rule #1 If the plural noun ends in an “S” , add ‘.

The teeth belonging to the sharks. Examples: The teeth belonging to the sharks. The pearls belonging to the oysters. The sharks’ teeth. The oysters’ pearls.

Rally Coach Directions: Each set of shoulder partners have a practice sheet and a dry/erase marker. The even number partner will begin by completing the first problem. As they answer, they will explain their thought process on how they solve the problem. Their partner will be listening, offering praise if it is correct and positively coaching their partner if it is incorrect. Switch roles and complete the next problem.
