shows ownership and modifies like an adjective. It will always have an apostrophe s (‘s) or an s apostrophe (s’) after it. Label the possessive noun with PNA (possessive noun adjective).. To find the PNA ask the question whose and then say the noun. (Ex., Who’s car? Sam’s PNA

1.) For a singular noun- add (‘s) Example- boy’s 2.) For a plural noun that ends in s- add (‘) Example- boys’ 3.) For a plural noun that does NOT end in s- add (‘s) Example- men’s

6 To make a plural noun that ends in “s” possessive, add an apostrophe to the end.

7 To make an irregular plural noun that does not end in “s” possessive, add an apostrophe and an “s” to the end. The toys belong to the children The children’s toys The food belongs to the geese __________________
