How to handle Absences If your son cannot make practice or a game you need to let the coaching staff know before 1:00 pm on that day. Go to www.ihigh.com/rocorifb Open forms ABSENTEE FORM Fill out the form and I will be informed instantly.

Lettering Policy To earn a varsity letter your son must compete in seven quarters of varsity football. Attend all “TUESDAY Meetings”. They also must do one community service act during the football season and help out at Youth Flag Football.

Playing Time 9th/ 10th/ JV: Everyone who commits and is healthy will play. Commitment means being at and fully participating at practice and having a positive attitude. Playing time may not be exactly equal for all players. Varsity: playing time based on attitude and ability. Efforts are made to play as many players as possible, but there are no guarantees.

Player/Team Rules Be on TIME (For everything you do) Be Positive (Especially in times of ADVERSITY) Never Fail a “SELF TEST” (Don’t do anything detrimental to the team or yourself)

Player/Team Rules Enforcement of TEAM and school rules while attending or being transported to or from an athletic event come under jurisdiction of the regular school disciplinary procedures at PARK RAPIDS High School. Since discipline is a vital ingredient in our team’s success athletes can be disciplined for many reasons listed on the next slide.

Player/Team Rules Unexcused absence from team meeting, practice, weights or games. Tardiness to CLASS or PRACTICE Lack of sportsmanship or disrespect Failure to turn in fees or eligibility packet Failure to support the program These can result in missing playing time or extra conditioning

Parent Expectations Keep athletics in perspective Support your Student Athlete Support The Program

Concussion Prevention We strengthen all of are players necks. I am USA Football Certified. Teach proper technique and not our head. No helmet your son will wear is older than 6 years old. By not starting tackle football until 5th grade we give our players time for their brain to develop. Limited contact in practice. We only go live a twice a week. One practice and game day.

Before you leave You need to sign up for TEAM dinners which are held every Thursday with different parents hosting – please sign up with Jill Dickinson (grades 10-12th) Please make sure you have a team t-shirt…one will be given to each player and if you would like an extra one they are $5 per shirt – this is part of our uniform for weight lifting and team activities – they are required to be in good shape, so buying an extra one is good idea Parent email and phone number (if you have one) Fish Fry – please sign up – mandatory to work – August 19th from 4:30 to 7:30 Clothing order: www.rambow.com store code: prfb
