How many classes do students take?

Six Classes Per Year X Four Years = 24 Carnegie Units (yearlong courses or its equivalent)

What is required to graduate? 23 Carnegie Units Divided up into specific course or subject requirements

What is required to graduate? 4 years of English/Language Arts 4 years of Math 4 years of Science 3 years of Social Studies 1 semester of Health 1 semester of PE (Personal Fitness)* 3 years of of Fine Arts/World Language/Career Tech

The remaining five Carnegie Units are electives.

World Language Not a graduation requirement BUT it is a college admissions requirement! AP Level: French, Spanish, Latin

Georgia’s HOPE Program Zell Miller Scholarship –Full Tuition Covered Graduate valedictorian or salutatorian OR Earn a 3.7 GPA in HOPE eligible courses AND earn a 1200 combined score of reading and math on a single administration of the SAT or a 26 composite score on a single administration of the ACT by your graduation date Be a U.S. citizen and legal resident of Georgia Take a minimum of 4 rigorous classes Be a graduate of an eligible high school Be registered with Selective Service
