Presentation transcript:

Classroom Behaviour Throughout St Paul’s we encourage children to behave in a positive manner. We use a ‘Learning Ladder’ in all classrooms which are there to help all the children to manage their behaviour. Any child who consistently does not follow our Golden Rules may miss some of their playtime/lunchtime to talk about their actions. Please do not hesitate to come into class if there is any other information that you may need or if there is anything that you would like to discuss in more detail. For this an appointment can be arranged for a more suitable time. Thank You The Acorn class staff Welcome to Acorn class Your child’s class teacher is Miss Fielding in the Reception class. Please arrive and collect at the Classroom doors. Please find enclosed information that _________________ will need during their time in Acorn class. We hope that you have an enjoyable year.

Teaching Staff Teachers – Miss Fielding and Mrs Jabeen Teaching Assistants – Miss Ward, Mrs Alvarez, Mrs Earnshaw, Mrs Kelly PPA Cover – Miss Gul Entry to School The school day begins at 8.45. The children are expected to come into school and organise their belongings and book bags independently. Please ensure that if your child has something to hand in, that they are aware of this. A member of staff will be available on the door for you to speak to. Daily Snacks Children in Year 1 are able to purchase toast from the school hall during morning playtime. The cost for this is 10p per day; however it is also possible to pay on a weekly basis if this is what you would prefer. Fruit will also be provided during milk and snack time. Reading Books Children in Reception will have a home reading book when appropriate. Year 1 children will have their reading book during the first week back. It is expected that your child will share their reading book with you for 10-15 minutes a day. Reading books will only be changed if the reading diary has been signed. We request that your child has their reading book in school every day. Forest school Your child will continue to have access to Forest School Sessions. These will be led by Mrs Smith. They will run every other Tuesday and groups will alternate. Refer to our class noticeboard/newsletter for more information. Personal Belongings Your child will have many different belongings which they will need to look after. Please make it easier for them by naming all items of clothing, including coats, hats and scarves. Named P.E. kits should be placed on their pegs and are sent home at the end of each half term. Wellies (for outdoor learning and Forest School) should be clearly labelled Homework Homework is given out to Year 1 children every Wednesday and is to be handed in on the following Monday. Please encourage your child to place it in the homework tray once it has been completed. Dates for your diary! New Reception Church Service: Wednesday 20th September 9.30am Please meet us at St Paul’s Church. Reading and Phonics workshops: Tuesday 17th October at 3.15pm in school. Shared Learning: TBC Please bring into school: Photos of holiday destinations (showing a different culture/food would be excellent!)
