Equality and Diversity Survey December 2012

Within the Bar Standards Boards’ new Code of Conduct, rules have been introduced to assist all Chambers in promoting Equality and Diversity in the legal profession. Thirty Park Place Chambers has published a summary of the data collected during December 2012 in respect of Age, Gender, Disability, Ethnic Group, Socio Economic Group and Caring Responsibilities. The information published on chambers website provides anonymised data for both members of Chambers (including Queen’s Counsel) and members of staff (including Senior Managers). All members of Chambers and staff were invited to complete a Diversity Data questionnaire, but were under no obligation to provide the data, some members chose not to disclose certain information and this is reflected within the summary. Chambers will be required to update the information every three years. Should you require any further information regarding the published data please do not hesitate to contact Hugh Watkins – Finance and Administration Manager (Diversity Data Officer), on 029 2039 8421 or email hw@30parkplace.co.uk.

What is your role in Chambers?

Are you responsible for supervising or managing the work of members or staff?

How old are you?

Are you male or female?

Do you consider yourself to have a disability?

Are your day to day activities limited by health or disability?

What is your ethnicity?

Were you the first generation from your family to attend university?

Did you attend a state or fee paying school?

Are you a primary carer for a child under the age of 18?

Do you look after, help or support family members, friends or others because of long term ill-health, disability or old age?
