What is the Welcome Center What is the Welcome Center? Welcome Center is the integral part of Mission’s Student Enrollment Services. First point of contact for Prospective students New students Returning students Continuing students General public Student family members The Staff & Student Ambassadors at the Welcome Center provide a vital role in supporting student access and success, particularly for those who are new or unfamiliar with the college systems.

Welcome Center highlight services These are highlight services we provide and assist students with My Mission Portal & Web Advisor Admissions Registration Financial Aid Applications (FAFSA, BOG Fee Waivers) Transcript – printing unofficial and requesting official Parking Permits Scholarship Information Homework Campus Tours and General Information Angel (Canvas) Campus Navigation Bilingual ambassadors & staff Activation of Higher One Cards Purchasing Text Books And more! We welcome and ask to identify the assistance needed Receive the assistance at the Welcome Center or referred to other appropriate office(s), as needed Provide guidance and training using the web access tools Student Ambassadors & staff are ready and willing to help any student at any time!

Technology Students are assisted inside and outside of the Welcome Center. 10 touchscreen stations and 2 kiosks on the exterior of the Welcome Center available during and outside of open service hours. 16 internet-capable stations available during open service hours, Monday – Friday. Students can perform a variety of tasks on these web-based work stations. We have several work stations that accommodate disabled students. A map device and 4 TV monitors (events, updates, programs)

Outreach Ambassadors continue to provide critical assistance to the Outreach team, both in their day-to-day roles and also representing Mission College at over 50 community events, high school visits, and community presentations. In Conclusion Mission College’s first priorities are students, their learning and their success. By having the Welcome Center in itself serves Mission’s statement. We have diverse student ambassadors and staff that are knowledgeable of the economic and cultural needs of the student population. We are the only Welcome Center in the South Bay area!
