Be sure to review the requirements for your program. ALWAYS meet posted deadlines; otherwise it will delay progress in your program. Start a portfolio or binder to keep track of informational handouts and other paperwork. ALWAYS make your own copies of paperwork that you turn in for processing.

Stay tuned in to your Sac State where you will receive important correspondence that may be very helpful to you throughout your program. Take advantage of office hours and/or orientations or meetings where you can receive important information and advising. When you go into an office on campus, be prepared with your materials so that you can make the most of your visit.

14 FAQs Who can I call if I am having problems with My Sac State?
Please call the Help line: (916) When should I get a Student Identification Card (One Card)? After you have been admitted, new students may obtain a One Card beginning the 1st week of August during fall semester and the 1st week of January during spring semester. You must pay your tuition fees first before obtaining a One Card. What services are available for One Card users (Why should I get one)? This card is required for checking out books from the library. 15 Graduate Writing Assessment Requirement (GWAR)
2-step process your writing will be assessed to determine your readiness for graduate-level writing tasks completion of the culminating experience The first step (required to advance to candidacy) has 3 options Option A: the waiver Option B: the GWI Option C: Writing Placement for Graduate Students (WPG), a timed essay examination or retake the GRE/GMAT and obtain a score of 4.5 or better on the analytical writing section
