The request START: Actions from EMODnet – MSFD Coordination Meetings: Appropriate information must be provided in the metadata to identify chemistry/biology data that is suitable for inclusion in MSFD reporting based on QA and QC procedures used in collecting it. HELCOM and OSPAR indicator specifications should identify the appropriate metadata needed. EMODnet Chemistry and Biology to report back on progress to next meeting, including possibilities to filter data on these metadata fields and progress in developing mechanisms for accessing data from non-EMODnet partner sources. Metadata information needs to be improved to include confidence levels and other information on QA and QC. Proposal was presented and discussed at the last EMODnet Chemistry 2 plenary meeting.
