Dates to Remember Monday, April 4 Welcome Back Wednesday, April 6 Library Books Due Friday, April 8 Reading/Spelling/Math/Phonics Test Homework Due Reading: We will be reading fiction story called The Kite and a nonfiction story called Measuring Weather. We will be focusing on finding Story Structure. Our essential question will be, How can weather change your day? Phonics/Spelling: We will be finding words with the long i sounds y, igh and ie, like dry, light, pie. Upcoming Events Thurday April 14th- Friday April 15th Parent Teacher Conferences Tuesday, April 12th Incubation/Life Cycles Unit begins. We will be hatching baby chicks in the class room! Math: We will be working on numbers in base ten. We will be counting and finding tens and ones and making number bonds. Language: We will learn about Adjectives and Opinions. Social Studies/Science We will learn about Movement and Sound. If you are still interested in ordering a first grade T-Shirt, a Second chance Order form will come home Friday. Students may wear these shirts on First Grade Fridays with uniform bottoms.
