Library Book Weekly Objectives Homework Spelling Words Week of Oct 24 to 28, 2016 Issue # 2 2nd 9 Weeks Mrs. Castellano's Class Library Book Weekly Objectives Read library book everyday. Homework Language Arts – Fiction & Non fiction, characters, setting, plot, Problem and solution, Parts of a book-glossary, table of contents, past tense endings, declarative and interrogative sentences, prepositions, plural nouns, author’s purpose. Math – Adding and Subtracting with regrouping. Science – Pushes/pulls Forces in Motion. Social Studies – Functions of the Government and maps. Monday–Write each spelling words 3 times. No math. Sight words week 2, Fluency fold list 10, Story: Sheep, Wolf, and Hare., Read AR book. Sign folder. Tuesday–1. Write the spelling words in alphabetical order (ABC).2. Write a sentence for the first 5 spelling words.3. Math sheet.4. Fluency folder.5.Read Library book and sign folder. Wednesday–1. Write a sentence for spelling words (6 to 10).2. Write a sentence for all vocabulary words.3. Math sheet.4.Fluency folder 5. Read Library Book and sign folder. Thursday–1. Have your parents give you a practice spelling word test. Practice using your vocabulary words with your family members.2. Math sheet.3. Fluency folder. Read Library book. Friday-Read for (20) twenty minutes each day using your library book everyday. Sign your AR folder. Read on the weekends. TESTING ALL DAY. No absences, please. Thank you for taking your children to the doctor after 10:00am. Spelling, vocabulary, and comprehension tests. Parents, please sign the tests I send home on Fridays and return to me. If you did not get them, send me a note. Spelling Words Pattern: Long Ii: i_e Time, five, like, hide, nine, kite, lime, hike, ride, smile Vocabulary Words Story: A Tall Tale 1.independence: freedom, to do things by yourself. 2.landmark: an object on the land. A red note was sent home on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016 of activities going on daily this week. Friday, Oct. 28, 2016: Students can dress in Story Book costumes ONLY. Students can bring candy to share as well. No masks, weapons, or clowns will be allowed. NO costumes on Monday at all. Conference Time/horario de conferencia: de 12:55pm a 1:30pm solamente.
