April 9, Week 3 of Fourth 9 Weeks Issue # 4 Mrs. Castellano's Class Homework Weekly Objectives As part of your 20 minutes reading time, please use istation; storyline online; bookflix: bkflix.Grolier.com-UN: jdrugan. PW: bookflix Monday– Read your fluency folder pages: Week 18 Time for one minute. Answer questions on back. Write spelling words three times each. Math: p.Week 29. Practice HIGH FREQUENCY WORD list. Bring homework to school everyday. Tuesday– Read your fluency folder Pages: Week 18, Time for one minute. Answer questions on back. Write spelling words in ABC order.Week 29. Practice HIGH FREQUENCY WORD list. Wednesday- Read your fluency folder Pages: Week 18. Time for one minute. Answer questions on back. Write sentences for spelling words Math: p.Week 29. Practice High Frequency Word list. Bring homework to school everyday. Thursday- Read your fluency folder pages: Week 18, Answer questions on back. Write sentences for spelling words Ask your parents to give you a practice spelling test. Practice the ones you missed.. Math p.Week 29. Write a sentence for all your vocabulary words. Read High Frequency words everyday. Bring homework Friday-Tests on story of the week, spelling words, vocabulary words. I will send the tests on Friday. Please sign and return them. If you don’t get them, please write me a note in the agenda. PLEASE NO ABSENCES ON FRIDAYS OR MONDAYS. WE HAVE TESTING ON FRIDAYS AND MONDAYS WE HAVE NEW MATERIAL TO COVER. PLEASE SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS BEFORE 10am OR AFTER 10am. Language Arts – Fiction & Non fiction, characters, setting, plot, Problem and solution, Parts of a book-glossary, table of contents, past tense endings, declarative and interrogative sentences, prepositions, plural nouns, author’s purpose. Math – Multiplication Science – Physical Characteristics of Animals. Social Studies – Producers and Consumers. Pattern: Closed Syllables CVC Poc-ket-book, back-pack, bas-ket-ball, cin-na-mon, sud-den-ly, car-pet, com-pu-ter, pu-blish, fuz-zy, pat-tern, pro-blem, sys-tem, pla-net, pic-nic, mu-sic, les-sons, sit-ter, sis-ter, bro-ther, pro-tect. Vocabulary Words Story: Ugly Vegetables 1.scent: What something smells like. 2. trade: Give one thing and get another. Exchange or barter. 3.muscles: are the parts of the body that makes us move. 4. prickly: Something prickly has sharp points, like needles. 5. blooming: a plant gets its flowers. 6.aroma: A pleasant smell is called an aroma.
