JOB AID myCompetency Assessment

Important checks before launching the skill test Close all applications including outlook, skype etc. Ensure you have uninterrupted network and environment to complete session in one session Should not navigate to any other screen Should not close the browser unless you want to stop the test Enable pop up on internet browser There are some specific browser and internet speed requirements in the subsequent slides. Please ensure your machine is compliant to the same

System requirements for accessing skill test - Network speed Network Speed Check if you have a stable internet connection at your end with proper speed. You can check Internet speed on following sites: http://www.speedtest.net/  Please make sure you have the below Upload Speed For non webcam test - Minimum speed -> 256 kbps Note: When you initiate skill test, it is launched on a new browser hence pop up blocker should be disabled and please make sure there is no restrictions for accessing the skill test on the network, as some sites may not be accessible from restricted bays or client site.

System requirements for accessing skill test - Supported browsers Supported Browsers Google Chrome: 50.x and above (recommended latest version) IE: 9.x and above (recommended latest version) If you are on Windows 7 and have an IE version 11.0.3, please make the below configuration settings on your browser. 1.Go to Tools 2.Click Compatibility view Settings 3.Uncheck the option “ Display Intranet Sites in Compatibility view” . If you are on Windows 7 but IE version is 11.0.4**, or upgraded to Windows 10,  or have Chrome browser installed on your machine, No action required.

System requirements for accessing skill test - Browser settings Browser Settings  Skill tests can be conducted with Pop Blocker enabled and for most commonly used Browser Security Settings. In Rare case when you click on the Launch Test button, in case test window doesn't open, it may be due to the pop-up blocker setting of your browser. Please use the allow once/always option to allow the test window to open. Optionally, you may disable the pop-up blocker for the duration of the test. For Google Chrome: Go to ‘chrome://settings/’ --> Click on 'Show advanced settings' (at the end of the page)  --> Under 'Privacy', click on 'Content Settings' --> Under 'Pop-ups', select ‘Allow all sites to show pop-ups’ --> Click on Done.

System requirements for accessing skill test - Browser settings Browser Settings  For Internet Explorer:  Go to ‘Tools’ --> Select ‘Pop-up Blocker’ --> Click ‘Turn on Pop-up blocker’ --> Select Yes once the 'Pop-up blocker' window appears.

Technical issues 1. No Response when clicked [Reload] button several times , Please contact the myCompetency helpdesk for next action.

Technical issues 2. Do not Press the [F5] button during the assessment duration. If you press F5 then you see the below message on IE version. Please click ‘Stay on this Page’ to continue with the test. If you press ‘Leave this page’ then the test window will be closed and it will be deemed complete and status will be updated as completed on myCompetency home page.

Technical issues 3.1 Do not Press the [F5] button during the assessment duration. If you press F5 then you see the below message on Chrome and the test would be deemed complete and status will be updated as completed on myCompetency home page. On the below screen, even if you click ‘Resume’ button, the test cannot be resumed again. Please contact myCompetency helpdesk if there are any concerns.

Technical issues 3.2 Do not Press the [F5] button during the assessment duration. If you press F5 then you may also see the below message on Chrome. Please click ‘Don’t reload’ to continue with the test. If you press ‘Reload’ then the test window will be closed and it will be deemed complete and status will be updated as completed on myCompetency home page. Please contact myCompetency helpdesk if there are any concerns.

Technical issues 4. While initiating skill test, if you see the below screen on clicking [Start Assessment] button, please contact myCompetency helpdesk for next action.

Start skill test 1. After employee clicks Next button in test loading page, another page with Start Test button is available

Skill test once launched 2. After employee clicks Start Test button, test starts

Features for navigating during skill test 3. Employee can select the option, click Next Question or Prev Question button to navigate between questions in the same section

Features for navigating during skill test 4. Employee can mark question as Revisit by clicking Revisit button. Count of revisit question will appear in orange part

Features for navigating during skill test 6. Employee can navigate to different sections using section dropdown list

How to mark test complete? 7. Employee can click Finish Test button once he/she want to mark the test complete Check timer next to Finish test to know the time available

How to mark test complete? 8. After clicking Finish Test button, summary of attempts in the test will be displayed. Employee can click “Yes, Finish test” to complete the test or “Cancel” to go back to question part.

Messages when the test is submitted 9. After click “Yes, Finish test”, Finish Test message appears. Later THANK YOU message will display. Then employee will be navigated to myCompetency landing page.
