THE CONSEPT :

Sofia Tech Park at a glance Sofia Tech Park (STP) is a large-scale development project designed to advance research, innovation and technology growth in Bulgaria. Sofia Tech Park Ltd. Was established June 8 th, 2012 STP has been supported by the Bulgarian Government and the European Regional Development Fund. FOCUS ICT LIFE SCIENCES ENERGY EDUCATION, R&D, INCUBATION STP is designed as a semi- specialized science and technology park focusing in three main fields :

Solving issues Identifying and supporting innovative ideas and projects in order to commercialize innovative products, ideas and services and to boost competitiveness and create employment. Helping the development of high tech start- up companies Creating environment for effective and dynamic collaboration between universities and science institutions, private sector and public organizations via shared scientific projects and partnership Creating a sustainable infrastructure Knowledge transfer Stimulating investments in companies, creating new technologies

Incubator for start-up and spin-off companies; Innovation forum - multipurpose auditoriums to host the roster of events on entrepreneurship, innovation and technology transfer; Experimentarium where school kids would interact with science and technology, as well as companies would be able to demonstrate their innovative products; 11 R&D Laboratories - scientific infrastructure designed to create a unique eco-system for research and innovation; Site infrastructure with recreation public areas and small sports complex –'green spine' of the Park with internal streets and engineering networks, incl. all public utilities; Parking – new multi-storey parking lot Opportunities

WORK THE PLACE TO BE for young entrepreneurs, innovative-minded people and industries/businesses; the HUB for applied research, know-how and technology transfer, exchange of knowledge and ideas; in close vicinity to offices of the major R&D/ICT companies and clean production areas close to the main campus of the Bulgarian Academy of Science (BAS) and major Universities state-of-the-art infrastructure and class A offices

PLAY a large part of the existing plot is occupied by cobble-paved streets and green areas, some of those densely populated with trees. the green spine of STP is the park area, occupying significant part of the plot and providing biking and jogging lanes, a small pool, a lot of benches (with el sockets) and retreats. besides running and biking, the inhabitants and visitors of STP would enjoy open-air climbing wall; tennis court; basketball and volleyball field; mini-football. The indoor facilities include a gym; table tennis; snooker; etc. indoor the interactive technology demo area) and outdoor events, targeting innovation and technology, exchange of ideas and interaction between the tenants and visitors of STP.
