How do we make Manchester the best it can be by 2025? We're drafting a strategy with the help from as many people as possible and we'd like your views and ideas.

Manchester Today Is a city transformed since the 1980s and 1990s with: a rebuilt economy with more jobs and better pay a growing and changing population investment in transport, schools, housing, parks, green spaces and other things that matter to people educational improvement growing international connections growth in science, research and development environmental improvement and lower carbon emissions.

Manchester Today However, challenges still remain with some areas experiencing deprivation, poor health and poverty. But we are at an important moment for the city: - Devolution gives us more powers from National Government - Our single economy with Greater Manchester will drive further growth - Further large investments to support our priorities.

Vision for Manchester 2025 By 2025, we must be a world class city with: a competitive, dynamic and sustainable economy highly skilled, enterprising, and industrious people national and international connectivity climate change impacts being limited residents from all backgrounds feel safe, can aspire, be successful and live well a welcoming atmosphere, that's clean, attractive, rich in culture and outward looking.

Achieving our vision create new jobs accessible to Manchester residents, reducing the number of people out of work ensure everybody is paid at least a real living wage reduce the gap between residents’ wages and the average earned in the city improve school results so that they are significantly higher than the UK average increase the proportion of graduates living in the city improve the health and wellbeing of the people who live in the city and have more active adults and children. Over the next 10 years we will:
