9 LOCAL COMMUNITY PLANNING PARTNERSHIPS MEMBERSHIP AND GOVERNANCE FRAMEWORK  Chair – Drawn from Dundee City Council Management Team.  All elected members from each multi-member ward. Representation from the following Dundee City Council Departments:  Communities & Policy Division, Social Work, Housing, Education, Environment, City Development Representation from partner agencies and/or partnerships as follows:  Police Scotland, Fire and Rescue service, NHS Community Health Partnership. Voluntary Sector, Dundee Partnership Theme Groups (where appropriate)  Six Community Representatives (three drawn from Area Regeneration Forum)

11 Community Engagement for LCP 2012-2017 Approximately 10,000 people were consulted across Dundee using the following methods:  Postal Surveys  Focus Groups with Community Organisation, Local Management Groups and residents and Tenants Associations.  Community Celebrations and Festivals  Children and Young people in schools and within their local communities.  Workers across a diverse range of services.  Public places such as Shopping Centres.

14 LOCAL COMMUNITY PLANS CITY-WIDE PRIORITIES 2012-2017  The significant impact of alcohol and drugs misuse across the city - the need to raise awareness of services and support for people who misuse drugs to access them as well as support for those directly affected.  The importance of Community Facilities - to maintain existing, improve existing and develop new ones where there is identified need.  The need to improve community wellbeing - feelings of isolation, lack of social networks and issues relating to personal safety.  Prioritise the need to ensure that information is easily accessible and understood - in plain English using different methods and approaches. Extend the use of the social media.  Continued support for Job Clubs and development of skills to prepare for training, further education and employment.

15 LOCAL COMMUNITY PLANS CITY-WIDE PRIORITIES 2012-2017  Increase range of activities involving young people to assist in minimising anti-social behaviour.  The need for good quality safe Green and Open Spaces to be maintained and vandalism of same minimised.  Increase support for Money Advice, Money Management and Debt Management for individuals and families.  To reduce levels of anti-social behaviour in terms of litter, dog fouling and graffiti.
