Salas PAC 07 LOC (16 Dec 05) Indico (Integrated Digital Conference)--Highlights Open source SW developed at CERN Currently used by about 50 conferences Manages conferences/meetings/workshops/lectures/seminars through ordering of: session, contribution, material Processes: web site management, conference program definition, call for abstracts, abstract selection, material submission, timetable setup, long-term archiving… Features: Indico manages the above processes by providing: oA customizable web portal for the conference oDedicated interfaces for all conference participants oFile storage at all levels (presentations, minutes, handouts, agendas) oListings generation (contributions, authors, speakers, registrants oCommunications (through ) oFlexible delegation of authorities Security: Protection possible at various levels oDomain-based oPassword-based oUser-based Miscellaneous: oParticipant alerts oExport mechanisms to PDAs and other file formats (PDF, XML, Excel, etc.) oCloning mechanism for recurring meetings
