Why do You Need an Animation Portfolio? Many schools require portfolios as part of admissions. Many employers ask for a portfolio of your work along with your application. What are the General Portfolio Requirements? What Should Your Portfolio Contain? The ideal portfolio will consist of 15 to 20 pieces of recent artwork. It should represent you as an artist and include your best work. A portfolio should demonstrate your skills. Make sure to submit work that represents current skills and experiences. It is important to submit work that showcases your strengths. What Should Your Portfolio Contain? When choosing which works you want to include in your portfolio, do not neglect to consider basic aspects like design, layout, punctuation, and grammar. Keep it simple, effective, colorful and eye- catching. Include the most recent sketchbook at the time of a portfolio review.
