Ways to Succeed in the IELP

#1 Always come to class on time. Don't miss a class unless you are sick. If you must miss class, ask a classmate about the homework assignment.

#2 Always bring a paper, pencil and a folder to class.

#3 Always bring your dictionary to class.

# 4 Do all of the homework assignments! Follow all of the instructions. If you aren't sure about something, ask your teacher. – Turn in homework assignments on time. – Late assignments will not be accepted .

# 5 Don't compare. Every student has different strengths and weaknesses. Focus on how you can succeed.

# 6 Get help from a tutor if you need it. You may sign up to meet with a tutor in the Learning Center.

# 7 Use software in the Learning Center: Ultimate Speed Reader & Spelling Fusion

# 8 Use online resources : a) interactive newspaper with audio b) vocabulary practice –
