Start with consideration What is it we want the student to be able to do within the educational program, that they are not able to do currently? What has been tried to meet the need? What tool(s)? For how long? How was it tried? (In what environments, for which tasks?) Is it working? Consideration

Think about the struggling students in your classroom Groups of students Individual students What are the academic barriers they face in the classroom? What are some of the things they can’t do as a result of those barriers? Take 3 minutes to think about these questions and write down some barriers. Activity
