A Second Language Is a Second Language Required for… Graduation? No Trades or vocational programs? No University entrance? For some, yes It depends on if you go straight to university from high school, the program you choose, & the university/college you attend. It’s a good idea to keep your options open!!

Consider EXTERNAL CREDITS … A student can earn extra school credits for participation in some specific programs – here are just a FEW: Driver Training Course Girl Guides / Cadets Provincial & National level sport teams NLS & Bronze Cross (swimming) Royal Conservatory Music levels Credits are given for SPECIFIC levels of participation as determined by the Ministry of Ed. Check with Mrs. Spencer!

So... Let’s Review In grade 11 you must take:  An English 11  A Socials 11***  A Math 11  Bible 11  A Science 11  PLUS... 3 elective courses (make sure you have at least one Applied Skill or Fine Art course some time between gr ) IF YOU ARE GOING TO UNIVERSITY YOU MUST PLAN TO EVENTUALLY HAVE 3 GR. 12 COURSES THAT ARE CONSIDERED ACADEMIC!!!!.

Next year’s timetable will be built based on your choices now. Therefore, changing courses will NOT be simple.
