3 UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE ENGLISH 12 3 Grade 12 academic courses +
(usually min 73% or ) + 3 Grade 12 academic courses (check on those that are acceptable to the school & the program you wish to enter) Some programs have grade 11 course requirements as well. ~Consider a University Transfer Program via College~

4 DIPLOMA & TRADES PROGRAM ENTRANCE
Each program has separate entrance requirements Check on those that are acceptable to the school and the program you wish to enter

5 GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS CREDITS for GRADUATION:
Grade 10 + Grade 11+ Grade 12 = Minimum of 92 credits

6 GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Gr 10 + Gr Gr. 12 = 92 credits minimum GRADE 10 English 10* Social Studies 10 Science 10* Bible 10 a Mathematics 10* a PE 10 An Applied Skill or Fine Art class GRADE 11 an English 11 a S.S. 11 or 12 a Mathematics 11 Bible 11 a Science 11 GRADE 12 an English 12 ________ 12 Bible 12 Transitions12 PLUS additional courses (electives) at Gr 10, 11, & 12

English English 11 Open to students who have passed English 10 A new focus this year! Choice of modules Communications 11 Intended for students who are not planning on going to university Does enable a student to “officially” graduate Course offerings depend upon number of participants.

9 Math Pre-Calc Math 11 A&W Math 11
You will be recommended by your Math teacher for either Pre-Calculus Math or Apprenticeship &Workplace Math 11 (A&W). Pre-Calc Math 11 Leads to possible University entrance Topics: algebra, measurement, number relations and functions A&W Math 11 Focuses on Math skills required for most Trades programs like algebra, statistics, and probability Will meet grad requirements

10 Important Consideration
Foundations Math 10 leads to the Math classes in grade 11 and 12 which are required for entry to most universities. Consider your options. Research program requirements. So …

11 FRENCH: What about a 2nd LANGUAGE?
Is it required ? For graduation? NO For trades or vocational programs? NO For university entrance? … for some, yes Is it a good idea? … YES It depends on if you go straight to university from high school, the program you choose, & the university/college you attend.

12 Consider EXTERNAL CREDITS …
A student can earn extra school credits for participation in some specific programs – here are just a FEW: Driver Training Course Girl Guides / Cadets Provincial & National level sport teams NLS & Bronze Cross (swimming) Royal Conservatory Music levels Credits are given for SPECIFIC levels of participation as determined by the Ministry of Ed. Check with Mrs. Spencer!

A Science 11 A Math 11 A Social Studies 11 or `12 A Bible 11 PLUS... 3 elective courses (one must be an Applied Skill or Fine Art) .
