8 Grade 9 Math Math 9 - For students who have had minimal problems with math. Math 9 Honors – For students who have received an “A” in Math 8 or Math 8 Honors. Teacher recommendation is required. Core Math 9 – For students who genuinely struggle with math. Teacher and parent permission are required...

11 Implications of Math Any Math 11 course will satisfy graduation requirements. For now, stay in the highest level of math you can be successful at. If you are go into Core Math 9, you will have to go into the Apprenticeship and Workplace Math 10 class. Generally, if you are interested in Business or Science, you should try to stay in the path of Pre-Calculus. Generally, if you are thinking of going directly to University and going into the Faculty of Arts you could take Foundations of Math.

17 Learning Assistance, ELL (formerly ESL) and Strategies Students enrolled this year in Learning Assistance, ELL and/or Strategies should talk to their LA, ELL or Strategies teacher regarding their placement for next year. 26 When Can We Get Started?   Computers are open starting February 24 th and will remain open until early March 14 th. Don’t delay … some classes will fill up and may be given out on a first come first served basis.   There will be a parent meeting about course selection on March 4 at 7pm – parents must okay your course selections on Parent Connect after you have selected your courses on Student Connect.
