Militarism  The belief that a country should increase its army and/or navy and use them to get what it wants.  An example of militarism is when the Germans built up their navy to prove that they were as powerful as Britain.

Alliances  An official agreement between countries or people.  Ms. Chiboucas’s class formed an alliance against Ms. Vela’s class.
