England Korfball Competition Strategy FF Competition Strategy

Excel Excite Develop We need to DEVELOP an environment to allow our volunteers, clubs and players to prosper, identify and EXCEL our talent, so together we can EXCITE not only Korfballers but the wider community. Competition Strategy Objectives

Develop Volunteers; that’s everyone from referees, coaches, officials and club members!! Clubs; that’s more clubs, bigger ones that have the infrastructure (ClubMark) to support juniors! Networking/development Opportunities; that’s spreading best practice, putting people in touch and disseminating 60 years of british korfball knowledge to the masses! Vision/objectives …that means 1. Clinics from International Coaches and subject experts 2. Triple the number of high level qualified referees/coaches/officials 3. More clubs in the National league from outside London/kent 4. Regular Junior Competitions

Excel or talent Identify talent; that’s simply means providing more opportunities for talent to be spotted. Develop talent; once spotted we need to enable both the development of those who coach talent and talent themselves Showcase talent; provide a structure supporting development through competition. Vision/objectives …that means 1. Re-alignement of junior competitions to school ages groups 2. Delivery of more national youth competitions 3. Provide more opportunities for England coaches to spot talent through multi-game venues 4. Integrate all age groups into a single progressive system.

Excite Multi-game-Venues; that’s means showcasing our sport so spectators can watch and combining resources to deliver new initiatives Encourage spectators; that means using shot clock technology and the introduction of golden goal to ignite/fuel an electric atmosphere Marketing potential; we invest they invest in us….!! Vision/objectives …that means 1. A faster more exciting game with less observation to rules and more to making it a spectacle 2. Taking the initiative- shot clock, real time and golden goal 3. Broaden our marketing and product appeal in order to attract revenue and sponsorship 4. Prepare our players to compete and perform at an international level
