GSC17-PLEN-24 Standards for Shared ICT GSC-17, Jeju / Korea 4 Highlight of Current Activities(3/3) Executive Summary on CJK WPT TR 1 –WPT is novel in application, technology, and regulation. It provides freedom from power cables while charging; and it is expected to produce additional value to the products and applications. Various types of WPT products and applications are in consideration in multiple industries. Demand is substantially increasing globally. –Global harmonization in standardization and regulation should be achieved to the maximum extent possible. Spectrum should be harmonized so that technology can be harmonized through global and regional standardization process. Regulatory harmonization is also a key because regulators can adopt same WPT regulation among the countries so that a WPT product can be used in those countries without modification.
