1 TTA activities on IMT Standardization
Document No: GSC17-PLEN-21r2 Source: TTA Contact: LEE HyeonWoo GSC Session: PLEN Agenda Item: 6.1 TTA activities on IMT Standardization LEE HyeonWoo Chair of TTA PG701

2 Highlight of Current Activities(1/2)
TTA TC7(Mobile Communication) published 22 standards and 4 technical reports during 2012. Use Cases and System Architecture of Personal Environment Service Test Standard on Integrated Charging Interface Embedding Charging Control Circuit for Mobile Device Interface definition for highly resonant wireless power transfer, & etc… TC7 published 4 standards and 2 technical reports at 1st Quarter of 2013. Interworking Service Specification for Mobile Rich Communication Suite(RCS) (1st revision) Photographing Sound of Mobile Phone camera (1st revision) WiBro Industry Status and Future Trend of Technology (Technical Report), & etc…

3 Highlight of Current Activities(2/2)
At RA-12, Recommendation M.2012 (IMT-Advanced) was approved. TTA is a GCS Proponent & a Transposing Organization for LTE-Advanced, and a Transposing Organization of Wireless MAN-Advanced. Currently, TTA PG701(IMT-Advanced) & PG702(IMT WiBro) has coped with the 1st revision process of M.2012. WRC-15 Agenda Item 1.1 was adopted based on Resolution 233 of WRC-12. It is to consider additional spectrum allocations to the mobile service on a primary basis and identification of additional frequency bands for IMT. TTA TC7(Mobile Communication) is studying frequency bands above 6GHz to support the capacity and performance of future mobile IMT networks Our proposed Suitable Frequency Band above 6㎓ : ㎓, ㎓, ㎓, ㎓

4 Submission deadline of CPM text (‘14.8)
Strategic Direction We should actively support WP5D & JTG activities for studying future IMT vision, technology and the potential candidate frequency bands taking into account the harmonization. 2013 2014 2015 GSC-18 GSC-17 (‘13.05) Submission deadline of CPM text (‘14.8) CPM15-2 (’15.3) WRC-15 (‘15. 11) ITU-R WP5D #15 (‘13.1) #16 (‘13.7) #17 (‘13.10) #18 (‘14.2) #19 (‘14.6) #20 (‘14.10) #21 (‘15.1) #22 (‘15.6) Suitable Frequency Ranges JTG #3 (‘13.7) #4 (‘13.10) #5 (‘14.2) #6 (‘14.7)

5 Next Steps / Actions Regarding future IMT vision, technology and spectrum issues, we will continue to closely work with external organizations(GSC, CJK, APT, etc.). IMT Task Force under GRSC could be utilized to exchange information and views on future IMT vision, technology and spectrum issues.

6 Proposed Resolution It is proposed to modify Resolution GSC-16/01 taking into account the approved new Agenda Item 1.1 on additional IMT spectrum identification for the WRC-15. Attachment: Proposed Modification of Res. GSC-16/01
