Reaching Relevance Room: 313 Grade Focus: High School "When am I going to use this in my life?" Every teacher has he ard this question at some point each year. Education is need ed and used daily in many aspects of industry. Excel, Word, Graphic Design, Access, and Web Design are all used daily in many capacities; as well as, English, Math, and Science. It would be nice to have an answer for students when talking about your subject and let them know exactly how their knowledge will be utilized in the future. Keela Long Jefferson County

Agriculture Biotechnology

Math Geometry – Used in building and architecture for angles, as well as, measuring parts and supplies. Also, used for medical imaging and graphic design. Algebra – used to program robots for length of telescoping a part or the angle of a bend for the robot to move.

Math Formulas and calculations are used for blue prints and Computer Aided Drawing when designing in industry. Equations are used in Excel for finances and computations for production #s and even to calculate payroll in accounting and personnel.
