9 Credits Credits are awarded at the end of each semester. Each semester of high school you have the potential to earn 4 credits. You can earn a total of 8 credits for the entire school year (unless you are enrolled in a double blocked course such as band or athletics. Your total will be 7 credits). In order to earn a credit, you must receive a grade of 70 or higher and meet the 90% attendance requirement.

9 Attendance* State Compulsory Attendance law
requires students to attend 90% % on A/B block schedule (this rule counts for each class separately) - Excessive absences could result in a loss of credit for the semester * Research shows that even missing one or two days can lower a student a whole letter grade.
