 Unique form of green neighbourhood that contains a mix of:  Integrated Food & Energy production  Small-scale going big (a mixture of subsistence & commercial)  Direct market access – market halls as outlet for produce and a central gathering point for the community and nearby townships and cities  Value chain control, with export potential  Heat from the biogas plant will be used to heat / cool central farm and market hall  Electricity from the biogas and PV plant to electrify all buildings, run water pumps and power cooling units  Innovative Financing Model: combination of municipal grants, equity & revenue
