39 th Global empowerment through local action Monday June 30 th - Key Bylaws Changes Dues will be increased by $15 as of June, 2009 **however, each member is asked to make an additional voluntary dues contribution of $15 this autumn. ZI will send out forms for club usage. D4’s motion: TO BE INVITED TO MEMBERSHIP, A CANDIDATE SHALL BE ACTIVELY ENGAGED IN OR HAVE EXPERIENCE IN A RECOGNIZED BUSINESS OR PROFESSION IN A DECISION- MAKING CAPACITY. After all these years - at how many conventions, this has finally been accepted by the membership. International directors – will not continue staggered terms. International nominating committee will not be all at -large as proposed and motion was withdrawn. Motion to cancel ‘public relations and communications committee’ failed. Transfer privileges – passed. Outreach/diversity of classifications failed. Chair will NOT replace Chairman as proposed.
