1 Thank you for giving me the opportunity to speak to you today
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to speak to you today. I am Kim Vann your District 10 Foundation Ambassador. As the biennium is coming to a close, Today we will summarize our projects successes and show how your contributions have and can help Zonta change the lives of women and girls around the world.

2 How will you empower her?
A pretty powerful question. My opinion, us all being here today will lead to this. When we all decided to become a member of Zonta, that was a step toward this goal. A club where we all learn skills and learn new ideas and raise funds all to help empower women and girls. Our International projects and scholarships, which you all support when you make a donation to the Zonta International Foundation, that empowers women and girls. We are all a part of this goal.

3 Here are 5 Ways We empower women- I gave you all a copy of this to take back with you and share with your club members. It lists our Liberia Fistula project and how almost 1200 women have had surgical treatment because of Zonta. Rwanda has a 1.36 percent HIV transmission rate among infants- They are on track to achieve an HIV free generation- because of Zonta’s help More than 10,000 girls in Niger received literacy and life skills training encouraging them to delay early marriage– with Zonta’s help Over 10 million dollars in scholarships and awards have been given to deserving women The new Voices Against Violence Girl Scout program recently completed their 4th and final training session. Now those trainers are going to go out and train other women and let the project branch out across the world to let girls know violence against women is not ok– Also funded by Zonta.

4 Fundraising Goal US$5,306,000 So how do we do all of this– Well each biennium, our projects are voted on- This year it will be in Nice, France. A fundraising goal is set and we all go to work to achieve the goal. This biennium asked for a little over 5.3 million dollars to fund our current projects. This pie chart shows the breakdown.
