Anotace V hodině se žáci seznamují se základními symboly Vánoc v Anglii. Přiložené obrázky umožňují žákům představit si, jak například vypadá tradiční vánoční puding či brusinková omáčka. Na závěr hodiny je vložen krátký test, na němž si vyučující může ověřit, zdali žáci dávali během hodiny pozor. Hodina je vytvořena tak, aby byla odučena v multimediální nebo počítačové učebně.

CHRISTMAS DAY (December 25 th )  It is the most important day.  Children wake up early in the morning.  They find their presents under the Christmas tree.  Children in Britain believe in Father Christmas.  The family eats Christmas dinner together

Father Christmas  Father Christmas is an old man.  He has got white hair, a moustache and a bear.  He wears red suit.  He lives at the North pole and makes toys in his workshop.  He comes to children's home down the chimneys at midnight.

 Traditional Christmas dinner includes:  roast turkey  roast potatoes  vegetables  cranberry sauce  gravy  After dinner they eat Christmas pudding Christmas dinner

 These are coloured paper tube.  Inside there is a paper hat, a gift and joke.

Boxing Day (December 26 th )  Traditionally people gave money to the poor and servants. Today the tradition of giving money continues. People give a little money to people like dustmen, milkmen or newspaper boys.
