8 At Christmas time people come together with family. We share our love and give gifts.

9 1. Gift Giving! Gifts you get on Christmas are called “Christmas presents.” Many people give presents to friends and family. They wrap them up very beautiful to be a surprise. The presents are placed under a Christmas tree!

10 Traditions: 1. Gift Giving! Children make Christmas lists of the things they want for Christmas. Children believe that Santa Claus brings these presents on Christmas Eve (December 24 th )! Most families come together on Christmas morning (December 25 th ) to open their presents together.

15 Santa Claus will come on Christmas Eve. He will leave presents under the Christmas tree for children.

16 Gift Giving! Christmas presents are brought by Santa Claus to good little girls and boys. Santa Claus brings the Presents at night. He leaves the presents under the Christmas tree for children to find.

19 Naughty vs. Nice Naughty children are not nice to others. Nice children are good! They help others and are kind.

21 Naughty vs. Nice Let’s list ways to be good girls and boys! For example: “I can be nice to be my friends!” Helping others. Do my homework. Smile and be happy. Listen to my parents.

22 Christmas Lists Nice children make Christmas lists for Santa Claus. They send these lists to Santa in a letter. They say what they want for Christmas.

24 Let’s make Christmas Lists! For example: “Dear Santa, For Christmas I want _____.”  Say anything you want!  Practice with your classmates!  Then share with me

25 Traditions: 2. Christmas Decorations! At Christmas time families put up a Christmas tree in their home. People will decorate their homes with lots of beautiful Christmas lights! Children put out Stockings to be filled with candy!

31 Santa Claus Santa is a fat, happy man, with a white beard and red hat. He lives at the North Pole and travels the world on Christmas Eve to bring presents to children.

32 Rudolph Rudolph is a reindeer who lives at the North Pole with Santa. He is famous for having a red nose that helps Santa find his way at night.

33 Scrooge! Scrooge is a mean old man from children’s stories about Christmas. If you want to be nice on Christmas- “don’t be a scrooge!”

65 Game: Christmas Vocab 2 teams! 1 person at a time come up Pick a word- describe the word to your team without using it. I will time you! Rules:  If you don’t know the word- your out!- No points!  If you use actions- your out!- No points!  If you use Chinese- your out!- No points!

66 Game Time! Fill your stockings! Team 1 vs. team 2… 2 students will race to fill their Christmas stocking with candy! You must use the spoon ONLY to move the candy! The next team member cannot go until the candy is in the stocking! The winning team gets all the candy!

68 At Christmas, people will sing Christmas songs! We call this caroling.
