2 X-Mas Traditions Christmas Eve (24th December) December 24th has never been holiday in Britain. However, they use to put up lights and decorations on Christmas Eve. Children leave mince pies and brandy for Father Christmas and they hang up stockings along the mantelpiece above the fireplace. Christmas Day (25th December) In the morning children enjoy unwrapping the presents they were handed out. The great occasion is the dinner. It consists of roast turkey with chestnut stuffing, roast potatoes and Christmas pudding.

3 Boxing Day (December 26th) From the old custom when people gave small sums of money to milkmen, postmen, dustmen…etc collected into their Christmas boxes. New Years Eve (December 31st) People stay up till midnight to see old year out and drink a toast to the New Year. A TOAST TO ALL OF YOU!!!
